A leading online learning platform needed direct conversations with learning and development leaders and team-level decision makers about its Team Plan. Quest Mindshare delivered 22 qualified B2B participants across Brazil, Mexico, UK, Germany and India, covering active customers, upgraders, and recent churners.
A leading online learning platform needed to better understand how organizations use its Team Plan across different business contexts, company sizes, and stages of the customer journey. The research required direct conversations with learning and development leaders, team-level decision makers, and stakeholders with primary responsibility or significant influence over learning platform decisions.
The study focused on three key customer profiles: current Team Plan customers, organizations that had upgraded from Team Plan to Enterprise, and former Team Plan customers that had recently churned. In total, the project required 22 qualified B2B participants across the United States and India, with quotas spanning SMB, mid-size, and large organizations. Interview lengths ranged from 60 to 75 minutes depending on the audience segment.
The client needed to reach a highly specific professional audience that could not be recruited through broad consumer sampling or basic panel targeting alone. Participants had to meet precise firmographic, behavioral, and decision-making criteria, including company size, current or past Team Plan usage, length of usage, involvement in upgrade or purchase decisions, churn timing, and willingness to complete a live qualitative interview under NDA.
The recruit also required balanced geographic representation across the U.S. and India, while covering multiple customer journeys: active Team Plan usage, upgrade from Team Plan to Enterprise within the past 6 to 18 months, and Team Plan churn within the past 12 months. Because the audience included professional decision makers and L&D leaders, the project demanded a higher standard of verification, screening, and recruitment control than a typical respondent sourcing effort.
Quest Mindshare applied a controlled B2B qualitative recruitment approach designed for hard-to-reach professional audiences. Rather than relying solely on static panel availability, Quest used an intentional audience strategy built around feasibility, incidence, role validation, and risk management.
Quest's B2B recruitment framework was especially well suited to the project. Professional targeting was structured around role verification, firmographic precision, industry specificity, and seniority validation. Quest also uses dynamic sourcing and credential verification for professional audiences, including LinkedIn profile review, corporate email verification, employment history validation, digital footprint analysis, profile consistency checks, and real-time risk assessment.
To ensure participants were qualified before entering the research, Quest screened recruits against detailed usage and decision-making criteria, Team Plan tenure, company size, purchase or upgrade influence, churn timing, and interview availability. Each recruit was screened before participating, with quality controls including identity and contact verification, experience-based validation, B2B role and employment confirmation, articulation screening, fraud and duplication checks, and technical readiness checks.
Quest also managed the operational details required to keep the qualitative recruit on track, including participant coordination, reminders, quota tracking, recruitment monitoring, and communication across the project workflow. This allowed the client's research team to stay focused on the interviews and insights while Quest handled the execution layer behind the recruit.
Quest Mindshare successfully recruited the full audience the client was looking for: 22 qualified B2B participants across the U.S. and India, including current Team Plan customers, Team Plan-to-Enterprise upgraders, and recent Team Plan churners. The final recruit included the required mix of SMB, mid-size, and large organizations, along with the appropriate decision-making profiles for each customer segment.
By combining active B2B sourcing, professional verification, structured screening, and hands-on qualitative project management, Quest delivered a recruit that gave the client access to real, relevant, and properly vetted participants. The completed interviews enabled the client to hear directly from the right stakeholders about Team Plan usage, expansion barriers, upgrade drivers, post-upgrade experiences, unmet needs, and churn factors.
The result was a successful qualitative recruitment effort that provided the client with defensible, decision-ready conversations from the precise professional audience required for the research.
Quest Mindshare specializes in controlled B2B qualitative recruitment where role precision and respondent quality matter most.
